Spectrum Aerospace has designed an autonomous Remote Monitoring System (RMS).
The device has been manufactured on industrial selected electronics and is equipped with sensors to measure environmental and radiation sensitive physical parameters(radiation dose, pressure, temperature, humidity, etc.).
The modular design of the RMS makes it flexible and easy to adapt to the environment where it will be installed. The system has been developed to drive multiple functionalities for environmental monitoring combining flexibility and standardized interfaces in one device.
The proposed system is able to collect a relevant amount of data, especially useful in the research area of climate models and environmental monitoring.

The RMS is based on satellite technology and it is characterized as autonomous, robust, long-live, flexible and as a very efficient system.

Nowadays environmental monitoring is being used as the appropriated agent to congregate all monitoring strategies, infrastructure and programs in preparation of climate changes impact assessments.
